Leonardo Velásquez

  • International development professional with more than 15 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising, advocacy, entrepreneurship, employability and youth in Honduras and the entire Latin American region.
  • He has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University in the City of New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and International Business from UNITEC in Honduras.
  • He has developed as Director of Development and Alliances for Junior Achievement Americas, in charge of mobilizing financial and non-financial resources, alliances and networks for the Americas region.
  • He was Regional Director of Advocacy for Latin America and the Caribbean at World Vision International in charge of monitoring 14 offices in the region.
  • Founder of the NGO TECHO in Honduras to later move to Chile and become Director of Regional Development and funds for Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Leonardo lives in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, from where he leads the work of Nex Fundraising in that country and the region.
