Christian Taco

Christian Taco Cañizares is an Ecuadorian professional with more than 19 years of experience in international cooperation and social development program management.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages for Business and International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador and a Master’s degree in International Relations with a specialization in Negotiation and International Cooperation from FLACSO Ecuador.

Throughout his career, he has led multisectoral initiatives in health, nutrition, education, social inclusion, and institutional strengthening across countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions of the world, coordinating technical teams, local governments, international donors, and civil society organizations.

For nearly two decades, he worked with Children International, an organization present in 10 countries, where he served as Regional Health and Nutrition Program Officer and as National Development Manager for Ecuador. In these roles, he promoted innovative community intervention models, supported local technical teams in monitoring and evaluation processes, and managed funding proposals with donors such as Citi Foundation.

He currently combines his work as a consultant with university teaching at the University of San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), where he lectures in International Business and Business Integrity. He has advanced proficiency in English and working knowledge of French, enabling him to operate effectively in international and multicultural environments.
